I’m Rachel Frey, 26 and I currently call Boulder, CO home. This will be my second year with DTE. I started with DTE in 2025 as an Award rider and am beyond excited to be continuing with DTE as part of the Elite team in 2026.

My favorite event from 2025 was Ned Gravel. I really love the course because it’s all my backyard roads and trails. The course is always throwing something new and challenging at you so you stay engaged the whole time. I also love seeing the community show up for the expo and to spot so many familiar faces during and after the race. 

 My favorite DTE memory is being at Foco Fondo with so many other women from the team. It was incredibly fun to finish my race and see all those supportive faces cheering me on, but what I loved even more was being part of the team as we waited for the other riders to come in. Our group represented such a wide range of goals—from racing in the elite field, to completing the longest ride of the year—and watching everyone show up for themselves and for each other was amazing. It was a powerful reminder of what a community can do.
